Received a seed grant? Congratulations! Now comes the exciting — and sometimes challenging — journey of turning that initial funding into a successful project. What better way to prepare than by learning from those who’ve already navigated this path?

Join us for an engaging panel discussion where experienced Stanford seed grantees share their valuable insights, practical strategies, and honest reflections. This session offers wisdom for both Principal Investigators and team members — including postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and research staff — who are essential to project success. After hearing from our panel, you will have a chance to join in small-group discussions to share with peers and further connect the dots on what your journey might look like.

Our panelists include:

  • Grant Parker, Associate Professor of Classics and African and African American Studies
  • Karen Wang, Postdoctoral Researcher, Graduate School of Education
  • Glenn Fajardo, Lecturer, Stanford d.school
  • Chris Mah, PhD student, Graduate School of Education

Participants will walk away with:

  • A clearer understanding of the Accelerator’s seed grant process and its typical challenges
  • Practical skills and techniques that boost chances of project success
  • Concrete steps for crafting an effective seed grant roadmap
  • Valuable connections with peers and experienced grantees for ongoing support

All Stanford Accelerator for Learning seed grantees are encouraged to attend. This event is also open to any Stanford researchers, staff, or students interested in boosting their knowledge and skills toward mobilizing research.
