Getting Down to Facts

This research project aims to equip state and local policymakers and educators with evidence and insights to inform education policy and practice in California. As the state approaches new gubernatorial leadership this year, Getting Down to Facts is working to build a common understanding of California’s pre-K–12 school system and the most promising opportunities for improvement. Building on the work of the 2007 and 2018 iterations, the third Getting Down to Facts will involve a comprehensive set of individual studies that contribute to a research agenda driven by the goals and insights of diverse Californians.
