Use place-based learning and technology to engage students in creating immersive VFTs that showcase their science understanding and reasoning. Choose a ready-made VFT project about the carbon cycle, ecosystem interactions, or climate change indicators — or create your own! No fancy tech required; all you need is a browser with an internet connection.
This workshop is intended for 5th-10th grade science educators interested in exploring new methods of teaching and learning. Participants will receive a VFT platform account, up to a $500 honorarium, and all the support and skills you’ll need to do a virtual field trip creation project.
